Brand Development

Background
Founded in 1999, Power Efficiency is an energy management consultancy dedicated to cost and carbon reduction for business customers of all sizes, and have an impressive blue-chip customer base which includes Canary Wharf PLC, Visa, Credit Suisse and Frank Knight for example.

Business Need
Power Efficiency initially approached a Brand & Design agency to discuss it’s requirement for a new corporate identity which better supported it’s current, impressive position in the corporate commercial market.   However, having met with BluEdge consultants, decided that an overall and more strategic review of the business should proceed the development of any new brand material and so engaged our services.

Our Approach
We spent time with the senior management team, listening and learning about the business and the industry more generally.  We then carried out the usual business analysis of industry, customers, competitors, products and services and agreed with the Power Efficiency management team competitive positioning which supported both their current and aspirational needs for the foreseeable future.  In parallel, the BluEdge team carried out an extensive brand audit, interviewing clients, suppliers and employees about their view of the organisation. This was to ensure that the brand image we developed resonated with these key stakeholders and demonstrated both Power Efficiency’s strengths as well as what they stand for in the marketplace. We then began the work with the Designers to develop a brand identity which reflected this insight.

Results

  • Through a brand audit, provided Power Efficiency with valuable insight about the organisation as well as enabling it to set benchmarks, KPI’s for the next fiscal
  • Developed a new corporate identity which was implemented across the entire organisation, including a new website, marketing and product collateral and business stationery and provided a platform for the ambitious growth plans of the company.
