Background
Founded in 1999, Power Efficiency is an energy management consultancy dedicated to cost and carbon reduction for business customers of all sizes, and have an impressive blue-chip customer base which includes Canary Wharf PLC, Visa, Credit Suisse and Frank Knight for example.
Business Need
Following the corporate rebranding exercise, see Power Efficiency Case Study (1), due to the good relationship that had formed between the two organisations, BluEdge was retained within the Power Efficiency business to provide an interim and ongoing marketing function. This entailed the development and ongoing execution of a marketing communication plan as well as the design and facilitation of review meetings throughout the year.
Our Approach
Taking all the input collated during the earlier brand development phase of the project (see case study 1) BluEdge worked with the management team to develop a business development plan with supporting strategies and tactics for the next fiscal. Work included a review of products and services, analysis of the current client base, pipeline and revenue analysis, and a perfomance review of the past 3 years business.
Results
- The development of a business plan for the year with clear focus and metrics and the full buy-in of the senior management team
- The provision of a full service marketing function through the utilisation and management of both internal BluEdge resource and the use of specialist partners as required. This included the development of sales collateral, the management of lead generation activities, the management of exhibition attendance, sponsorship and execution of thought leadership type activities for example.
