Business Need
As a regular supplier of services to Microsoft, BluEdge was asked to provide support and assistance with the annual business planning process. The aim was to develop one cohensive UK plan, involving inputs from every business division and group within the UK buisness for presentation to the Microsoft Corporation HQ for funding and budget approval.
Our Approach
We worked as part of an centralised business planning team, reporting directly to the UK Marketing Director. The p roject entailed working with, and on occasions leading, various groups from across the UK business in developing go-to-market strategies with supporting tactics for the next fiscal. This entailed detailed analysis of past performance, carrying out competitive analysis and positioning, a review of the strengths and weaknesses of the group and in turn a documented plan with clear goals, objectives and metrics which supported the overall plan for the year.
Results
- A coherent set of recommendations and insightThe development of a series of business plans which were rolled up into one cohensive UK plan which was accepted by the Microsoft Corporation with funding approval.
